Victor Badner, DMD, MPH* Chairman of the Dept.
Chief of Dental Public Health Dr Badner is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (BA), the Harvard School of
Dental Medicine (DMD), and the University of California Los Angeles (MPH). He is a
board certified Dental Public Health Specialist. He practices general dentistry at the
North Bronx Healthcare Network (Jacobi and NCBH). He has held a variety of
leadership positions at NBHN including Medical Board President, President of the New
York Dental Alliance and member of the NYMA finance committee. In addition to his
efforts with the GPR, Dr. Badner also functions as the site administrator for the
NY Department of Health Dental Public Health Residency Program.

Peter Gerhsenson, DDS

Dr. Gershenson attended the 7 Year Combined Degree Program in Dental Education at
New York University. He received his BA in Biology in 1980 and his DDS in 1983. He
completed a General Practice Residency Program at Woodhull Medical Center in 1984
and received advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 1984-1986.
Dr. Gershenson currently holds academic appointments as a Cinical Assistant Professor
at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the New York University College of
Dentistry. He is the Treasurer of the New York Dental Alliance. Dr. Gershenson has
focused the residency program on providing training to new graduates relevant to the
practice of dentistry in the 21st century. Dr. Gershenson maintains a private practice
in Brooklyn, NY

Irvin McCaine, DDS
General Dentistry Dr. McCaine is a graduate of the University of California - Berkeley (BA) and the
Howard University School of Dentistry (DDS). Dr. McCaine completed a GPR at
Montefiore Medical Center. He is currently appointed to the faculty of the Albert
Einstein College of Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor.

Maynard Goldberg, DDS
Chief of Endodontics Dr. Goldberg is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry (1961) and
received advanced training in endodontics at the Boston University Graduate School of
Dentistry (1964-66). Dr. Goldberg is currently appointed to the faculty of the NYU
College of Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.`

Chief of Periodontics Dr How is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine (1991),
where she also received her post graduate periodontal training. Dr. How provides
lectures and hands on training in all aspects of periodontal therapy and surgery. She
maintains a private practice in Manhattan.

James Verna, DMD
Co-Chief of Prosthodontics Dr. Verna is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry (1964). He
completed an Oral Surgery Internship at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in 1965.
He has been on the attending staff since 1970. Dr. Verna maintains a private practice in Manhattan.

Stanley Weinstock, DDS
Co-Chief of Prosthodontics Weinstock is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry (1962). He
completed an Oral Surgery Internship at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in 1963.
He has been on the attending staff since 1968. Dr. Weinstock has maintained a private
practice in Manhattan since 1965.

Robert Margolin, DDS
General Dentistry Dr Rogert Margolin is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and
Completed his GPR at Jacobi Medical Center. Dr Margolin was in private practice in
the Bronx for 18 years. In addition to his teaching duties at Jacobi Medical Center, he
is on staff at another local hospital.
Dr. Margolin is past president of the Bronx County Dental Society, and past president of
the New York State Academy of General Dentistry. He is also held various positions in
organized dentistry at the state and national level. Dr Margolin is a fellow of the
Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, and the Pierre
Fauchard Academy. He is also a forensic dental consultant for the Office of the Chief
Medical Examiner of New York City.

Martin Kimmel, DDS
General Dentistry Dr. Kimmel is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Meeicine
(1961). He received further training in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. from 1961-1963.
He has been certified at the mastership level by the World Clinical Laser Institute from
1993-present.

General Dentistry Dr. Loeb is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry (1962). Dr Loeb maintained a private practice and has also been affiliated with the NYC Dept of Welfare,

Anita Agarwal, DMD
General Dentistry Dr. Agarwal graduated from the University of Pune, India with a bachelors degree in
Dental surgery in 1997. She received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the
Boston University School of Dental medicine in 2001. She completed a GPR at New
York Medical College and a fellowship in dental oncology/maxillofacial prosthetics at
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY. Dr. Agarwal provides lectures and
supervises residents in the clinic. She is appointed to the faculty of the Albert Einstein
College of Medicine. Dr. Agarwal maintains a private practice in Manhattan.

Ronald Garrett, DDS
General Dentistry Dr. Garrett is a graduate of the City University of New York/ Queens College (1984) and the Howard University College of Dentistry (1988). He completed a PGY 1 GPR at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in the Bronx and a PGY 2 GPR at the Harlem Hospital Center in Manhattan. Dr. Garrett has been an attending at Jacobi Hospital since 2004. Christina Heng, DDS
General Dentistry Dr. Christine Heng graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 1992. She completed the Dental Public Health (DPH) Residency at Jacobi Medical Center (JMC) in Bronx, NY in 2001 and became board-certified in DPH in 2003. Presently, Dr. Heng is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service and stationed at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT. She is also a part-time attending in the dental residency program at JMC. Dr, Heng has completed numerous epidemiologic studies and published in peer-reviewed journals such as General Dentistry, Journal of Dental Public Health Dentistry, Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology Oral Radiology and Endodontology, Journal of Correctional Health Care, Military Medicine, New York State Dental and Hawaii Dental Journal. |
