Dental Anesthesiology - Introduction
Jacobi Medical Center (JMC) as part of the North Bronx Healthcare Network (NBHN) in collaboration with the Albert Einstein School of Medicine (AECOM) offers a 3 year (36 month) advanced education program in Dental Anesthesiology (DA). Our program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA). This integrated clinical and didactic program is designed to meet the certification requirements of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology (ADBA).

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Dental Anesthesiology Residency Program at Jacobi Medical Center in affiliation with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is to prepare the dentist anesthesiologist to be competent in the provision of safe, effective, comprehensive anesthesia care for patients of all ages for dental and maxillofacial surgery. We strive to provide an evidence-based learning environment that provides didactic instruction applied to clinical experiences with emphasis on critical thinking and we encourage participation in education and scholarly activity. Our goal is to provide patient centered care in an ethical, respectful, and professional manner for our patients and all members of the care team.
